One Chick’s Experience with the Allay Period Relief Patch

Posted by: maryhealth in: ● April 24, 2009

As readers of my blog probably saw, I ran a giveaway a few weeks ago and gave out some Allay Period Relief Patch samples.  Since then I have been blogging a bit about different natural cures for women. It feels good to be doing something to help women with painful periods.  This subject of painful menstruation is something I have felt pretty powerless about throughout my life, so I am happy to be getting out there and doing something proactive.

Anyway I got feedback from one of the women I gave a free patch away to. She had pretty positive results. Here is what she wrote to me:

Thanks Mary, I got my patch in the mail today.  I was surprised what a small device it was. I don’t know what I was expecting exactly, but when it showed up it was nice to see it fit into a small envelope.   I wasn’t exactly sure how to wear the Allay Patch at first, and I think I may have even put it on backwards when I first tried it. You know, I was in terrible pain when I was trying to figure it out so I am sure that didn’t help my IQ exactly. (-:  Once I got it on right and working it felt really different. I could feel the pulsing on a pretty deep level. At first, I found it distracting and can’t say I really loved the sensation.  I was going to try working at my desk, but I thought it would be better to do something mindless. So I decided to chill out and watch tv, in fact I even had a chick flick ready to go with my monthly woes. I had taped The holiday with Cameron Diaz. As I relaxed with a cup of tea, and my Allay Patch pulsing away, I started to feel much better. Soon I got used to the Allay patches sensation and I forgot I had it on at all. I forgot about my menstrual cramps too, so that is defintiely an achievement!!  I am definitely going to use this again next month. Thanks again, Mary! Allay Frequently Asked Questions

There are many proclaimed, “home remedies”, but this is the sincerest testimonies I’ve read on the subject.

I am also one of the individuals who received a complimentary Allay patch last month. What instantly captured my curiosity was the sheer simplicity–Allay contains a thin pouch, some wiring, and a battery powering the whole thing. The lack of uncomplicated devices and instructions reminded me of “Little Inventors” week at my science class, where students came up with their own inventions.

After removing the plastic piece to engage the battery, I did feel some electronic pulses, much like the electronic acupuncture my chiropractor had tried on me several years ago. Though I did feel the patch working, I don’t think it did much in the way of relieving more serious menstrual pain. This was re-affirmed when I again brought it out today, hoping to curb the first-day period pain.

In the full interest of honest commentary, I do need to disclose that my affliction of endometriosis (a chronic pain condition primarily impacting the uterus) is a set-up for failure in this department. I do, after all, have prescriptions for heavy narcotics just to deal with the frequent pain associated with the condition, and my intake increase sharply during my actual cycle. Simply because the Allay patch didn’t work for me doesn’t mean I wouldn’t suggest it for menstrual relief for other women who don’t have endometriosis.

Ashley,
Endometriosis is a fungal growth inside of you. You need to take a strong Probiotic to fight to fungus with healthy germs(I used Super Bifido Probiotic, Udo’s brand) and black salve(which eats up the fungus).

I don’t know what your doctor told you, but endometriosis is a HUGE money maker in the medical world and the surgery to break away tissue iis made for the sole purpose of getting your money every few years or so without fixin to root of the problem.

I am completely rid of my endometriosis because of the black salve and probiotics, and I highly suggest you try them.

Ashley,

I tend to disagree with Ace. Endometriosis is a build up of the endometrial lining. While you may have a fungal growth, that is not endometriosis.

Endometriosis is usually caused by excessive estrogen that is either over produced or can’t be eliminated from your body.

While you may need it removed, I do agree with Ace, in that it doesn’t fix the cause of the problem.

I’m a naturopath in Australia, and the issues that need to be addressed are making sure you can eliminate estrogen properly ie. making sure you have a bowel movement everyday and doing a detox that makes sure the Cytochrome P450 pathways are working properly. You also need to look at eliminating pesticides and herbicides and foods that are wrapped in plastic from your environment.

I would recommend that you see a naturopath that will address these things.

Good luck on your health jouney!
